THE PERSON + THE STUDIO
The Person
I’m a goldsmith and jewellery designer based in Berlin-Mitte. Since 2008, I’ve been running my label along with a studio and store – until recently known as Felicious, now under my own name – on a charming side street close to Rosenthaler Platz.
Originally, I come from an architecture background. I studied in Bremen, drawn to the idea of shaping one's surroundings. I never worked as an architect, but I still see why I took that path. Architecture remains a strong influence and its lines and logic often find their way into my pieces. Both worlds revolve around construction and form. However, I realised I wanted to work more directly: with my hands, on a smaller scale, closer to the finished object.
Jewellery has captivated me since childhood, starting with my mother’s collection and the visits to the workshop of a family friend in my hometown, Hildesheim. Eventually, I began an apprenticeship as a goldsmith in a women-led workshop in Hamburg’s
St. Pauli district.
With my qualification in hand, I moved to Berlin, started working independently, and gradually built what has become my studio.

The Studio
My work has a strong gravitation towards a minimalist aesthetic. The forms are clean – strict or soft, bold or understated, often with a subtle reference to the past, without being nostalgic. A contemporary take on an ancient craft.
The label follows a seasonless approach. The collection consists of various series that complement one another. While each series is built around a specific design and theme, the pieces combine easily across the range. The series remain part of the collection for several years, with new styles introduced no more than once a year. This pace allows the work to grow without rushing, through a reflective design process.
Produced in small batches, every piece is crafted by hand by me, with high standards of quality and precision. Some series involve casting for more efficiency, yet extensive handwork remains essential throughout the process. The label’s production fuses traditional techniques of goldsmithing with the possibilities of modern technology.
After nearly ten years of collaborating with selected stores in Germany, Europe, and the UK, I decided in 2019 to focus on selling directly to customers through the Berlin studio, which now also includes this online store.
In addition to the main collection, commissions play an important role. I design bespoke pieces on request, developed in close collaboration with my customers and always grounded in the label’s design language.
The COMMISSIONS page shows a selection of pieces I’ve made to date.
